I unwrapped it and finally (once I had gotten it out of the five layers of packaging) I was able to hold it for the first time. And wow. What a toy. Ultimate Bumblebee is BY FAR my favorite Transformer. With so many moving parts, lights, sounds, 17 phrases and 9 songs, what's not to like? Bumblebee stands about four inches taller than the Leader Class Megatron, which is already saying something. Just wait. In vehicle mode when flipped up to show the underside of the car, it is still about two inches taller than Megatron. I was in awe. There are no real let downs to this toy. The only things I can think of are these: 1. The shoulders are a pain to lock into place each time you transform it into a robot. 2. Well, I don't really have a second thing. That's how awesome this toy is. I would very very very very very very very very highly recommend this toy. Though little kids may need adult help transform it, but that's not a problem. the video instructions on trasnformers.com really help. No transformer collection is complete without ULTIMATE BUMBLEBEE! I got this product for my son for his 5th B'day and he loved it. The tough part came when I started transforming it to a Car. Man, that took me about 1.5 hours, even with the instructions. But once you've done it once its quite easy the next time. But I must insist, its a clever design and I and my son love it. Some people who saw it, loved it. I love the sounds it has. Its got some intelligent thingy which detects if the car is moving fast or slow and increase or decreases the speed of the engine sound with the speed. I thought that was really cool. Its also got some nice lighting functionality which I thought were amazing, espcially in the dark. All these sounds and lights in the car mode. Not much lights in the Robot mode but, its got some cool statments which the kids tend to memorize. Ohh one thing, it does not balance well in the Robot mode when standing but its not much of a thing as you can get it stand somehow. All in all I think its one of the best toys but more as a collectable. Kids will love it if they love Transformers. I guess the educationational value would be when a kid actually uses his brain to transform the thing from car to bot and vice versa. Thanks to Hasbros for the creativity. My boyfriend and I grew up children of the 80s. He loved transformers as a child, and when the movie came out last summer, he couldn't get enough of the film. For Valentine's Day this year I decided to surprise him with the electronic Bumblebee. As it turned out, from of all the gifts I have ever given him, this was THE biggest hit. He immediately took it out of the box and began playing with all of its features. His eyes lit up, he talks, there are radio tunes that it plays (Bumblebee, not my boyfriend). It's really just a neat gadget that I know he will treasure for years to come. Definitely a winning purchase!!! *Please note that it takes four AA batteries. This is a great toy. WE bought it for Christmas at Walmart [...]. It iss cool. In robot form, it talks , in car form it sings songs etc....My 5 year old loves it, except way too hard for him to switch back and forth, like most of them. but, more durable!!! Great toy [...] I would not recommend this particular model of Bumblebee for young children. He is intricate and complicated to convert which works out perfectly for the Dad of the young child who really wants to play with the toy himself anyway:) nter The Ultimate Bumblebee. This astonishing 14-inch tall animatronic Bumblebee robot transforms into a 2008 Camaro, complete with lights and sounds! With the touch of a button, our hero comes to life with speech and music featuring Devo's'Whip It,' battle, and conversion sounds. Bumblebee's sound detection capabilities also enable him to respond to noises. His head, arms, and wings are animated, and he can even aim and fire a missile! It doesn't get any better than this. Better add one to your'ultimate' Transformers collection today! The Hasbro Transformers Ultimate Bumblebee Figure is the premium movie-based Transformers toy on the market. Standing more than 14 inches tall, this action figure is more than deserving of the title "Ultimate." With his sleek design, his battle and conversation sounds, and his advanced animatronics system, Ultimate Bumblebee is one of the most fully featured action figures you'll ever find.

![]() Bumblebee's car form is as detailed and well built as any model car. View larger. View Side. |
Recommended for ages five and up, Ultimate Bumblebee is perfect for toy collectors and kids alike. Initially, Ultimate Bumblebee appears as a sleek 2008 Camaro. With its vivid yellow finish and racing stripes, Ultimate Bumblebee's car form is as detailed and well built as any model car and would be a perfect addition to a cabinet or dresser top. The car is able to roll freely on carpet and hard surfaces alike.
However, like all Transformers, there is more to Ultimate Bumblebee's Camaro form than meets the eye. When it is time for him to come out of disguise and confront his enemies, he can transform into a massive, powerful robot. Equipped with a plasma cannon, he is more than prepared to defend your local Autobot from Decepticon attacks.
With a few minor adjustments, kids can transform Ultimate Bumblebee seamlessly between his robot and his vehicle mode. His robot mode stands an impressive 14 inches, and is fully articulated, meaning that kids can adjust him into any pose. He is also incredibly detailed -- likely one of the most attractive action figures your aspiring heros will ever get their hands on.
Advanced Animatronics and Sounds
Ultimate Bumblebee features an advanced animatronic design, which means he can move and animate himself when in robot mode. With the touch of a button, he'll burst into motion. His head moves expressively from side to side, and his arms and wings both move up and down. He can even aim his plasma cannon and fire off his missile.
Perhaps most impressively, he has full sound detection capabilities. He will respond to noises by turning and making sounds of his own. In addition to his animatronics and motion, Ultimate Bumblebee can also make a variety of exciting sounds. This ever-vigilant Autobot has 17 different heroic conversation phrases, such as "Let's roll out!" and "Take that, Decepticon!" He also makes battle sounds -- kids will hear the firing of his plasma cannon and the whirring, crushing sound of his movements. He'll even boogie as he plays Devo's popular song, "Whip It."
About Transformers
The Transformers began as a Hasbro toy line back in 1983, featuring toy vehicles that could transform into robots. The toys soon inspired an entire universe of fictional story lines, pitting the two factions of Transformers -- the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons -- against one another. A live-action movie based on the Transformers was released in 2007 and has continued the toy line's extreme popularity. With toys such as the Ultimate Bumblebee Figure, kids can bring home the struggle between the Autobots and Decepticons.

(The toy, and it's general reaction)

(Regarding Amazon's Sales of this toy)
(Great collectible)

(This isn't gas from the Exxon station for crying out loud!!!!!!!!!!!!)

(The price of all)

Hmmm. To start with, I will review the toy itself. It is as good a likeness as I have ever seen. It is impossible to expect the toy industry to spend the time and money to produce an identical image of any action hero, but this is as close as they come. It truly does look like Ledger's Joker, who I am guessing will be remembered as the best Joker portrayal ever. At least according the previews, Ledger did a masterful job.
Now for the reaction raised by the toy's outrageous pricing... Sure, it retails in stores for $9.99; but it is now considered a collectible, so retail pricing no longer has relevance. It is a collectible because of Heath Ledger's passing, God rest his soul. In our economy (and culture in general), things that are rare are (to be obvious and redundant) harder to come by and thus carry more value. The 20 dollar bill is worth twice as much as the 10 because there are half as many 20s in circulation. Rarity and value are generally inseparable in our system. So if anyone wants to cry out against the vendors who are "gouging" the prices of these collector's items, the cry needs to be made against Western capitalism, not against Amazon and its respective sellers. Said vendors are merely acting according to the rules of their economic system, a system that we all bow to daily in one way or another, and a system that we all voluntarily remain in.
P.S. The second paragraph is obviously geared toward American consumers. If you are not American, these thoughts aren't meant to apply to you in quite the same way...
AMAZON: YOU OUGHT TO BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF. YESTERDAY (5/13/08) YOU WERE RIPPING PEOPLE OFF TO THE TUNE OF $57 FOR THIS TOY..... AND TODAY (!) YOU HAVE THE UNMITIGATED GALL TO JACK UP THE PRICE BY $7 TO $64. YOU ARE SLIMEY JERKS -- AND EVERYONE SHOULD BOYCOTT AMAZON FOREVERMORE. THE IDEA OF CAPITALIZING TO THIS GLUTTONOUS EXTENT ON THE SAD DEATH OF THE LATE, GREAT HEATH LEDGER MAKES ME WANT TO TAKE A SHOWER. SHAME ON YOU.....
I managed to find this toy at Wal-Mart the day after it was released. Only 2 were left and they were $11.99. I should've bought both but I didn't forsee the frenzy to buy these things that was to come. The toy itself is awesome. It has a lot of detail and it doesn't look like you're average child's toy. The big selling point for me was that it came with a joker card. Yes, I opened it. I'm not going to sell it 20 years from now, I paid a total of $12.22 for it and I'm going to showcase it out of the box. Now, you can't find these things anywhere! Amazon is selling brand new for $69.99!!! If I were you, I'd wait for more shipments to get in. Just like how gamers know when the next shipment of Wiis come in, there are plenty of people that know when toys come in. Just be on the lookout. There will be more. I just got lucky and I just love bragging to everyone that I got one. It's like when Power Rangers came out, you couldn't find those darn toys anywhere. But the big selling point for collector's is that it's a Heath Ledger action figure and he's sadly dead. But don't get scammed by buying online. Wait for more to come at your local toy retailer. Though, eBay has some good deals. But just wait it out. More will come when the movie is released.
I can testify that the previous reviewers are correct. The price for this figure is seriously gouged. The sellers should be ashamed of themselves. The value of this figure is $9.99 in retail stores. Do yourself the favor and do not give your hard earned cash to the unscrupulous merchants who charge anything above that!
Hey guys, it took me a while to come across these but a local place here was selling them for less than this but more than the what its going for at Wal-Mart. I was able to get three to try and get out here to people who really just want the figure to collect. I'm not able to sell it for the price it is normally but I am willing to sell them at a more reasonable price than 50 bucks. Contact me if you are interested. Thanks

(Amazing)

(No Grenade Included!)

Fantastic detail, did not come with advertised grenades, but its all good. Visor is painted with reflective paint, not mirror like as shown in pic, but still well done. Astonishing overall product for a fan of the trilogy.
Good figure, we are very pleased with this toy. Maybe isnt the best quality but you get what you pay, Overall very satisfied, I like Halo Series, I rate this toy an A+ Thanks Amazon for this ine!
I got this for my 6-year-old son, and you know how discerning kids can be at that age. He thinks it's the coolest - the design and attention to detail are fantastic. I'm thinking the thumb is a little weak and might break off after too much activity with the rifle, but so be it. (I wonder if toys these days are made more for the 35-year-old guys who live at home and collect them, rather than kids who will play with the toys.)
Are you kidding me. Nothing else out there can compare to the incredible detail of these figures. I have been wanting a master cheif since Halo 2 but held off because the other figures before Mcfarlane's looked retarded. This is master chief at his finest. No complaints here. I do not open my figures however, so I wouldnt know if these are great for play. In my opinion these are mainly made for collectors. Mcfarlane actually targets the older collector audience. I am very pleased over all.
Fantastic figures! Don't understand how anyone could not rate this product a 5 out of 5.
Master Chief is all that remains of the Spartan II program, an elite group of genetically superior, highly-trained super soldiers. He features 18 points of articulation and comes packed with grenades and an assault rifle. Measures 5" tall.
The figure looks great and has many movable joints. The paint job uses sort of a metallic green with paint flecks that really feels authentic. The visor looks good, but it's not reflective like it should be (like halo 1 figures were). The figure is a bit smaller then I expected (about half the size of halo 1 figures). The figure does not come with a grenade as advertised which is a bit of a disappointment and would definitely increase the fun level of this toy and it would have been a simple thing to include. I wonder if there are a few crates of tiny grenades sitting in a warehouse somewhere? I think even if it did have the grenade its still sort of an incomplete package without a second weapon which would take it to the next level. My final review score is low mostly because there was no grenade included even though it clearly says so on the box.
Straight out of the hit video game series and into an articulated action figure form, the Halo 3 Series 1 features all your favorite characters in high detail. Each includes multiple points of articulation and comes with signature weapons.

(Good toy)

(Wow, a lot of stupid reviews here.)

(Bumble Bee is my favorite character from the movie)

(Fun but not durable)

This toy is very cool but the head keeps falling off! My kid has to be very careful when playing with it and is always worried that Bumblebee might lose his head! But it is cool though, we just need the bigger one now!
This is a very nice Bumblebee. His robot mode looks quite nice and he comes with a plasma cannon that converts to a blade. He transforms into a yellow 2009 Chevrolet Camaro that sports black racing stripes. I personally love the vehicle mode. You should not pay more than $20 for Bumblebee, his retail price is ten dollars. Though I have not had durability issues the joints seem a little loose and the figure seems rather fragile, so I would not recommend for young or rough children. He looks great on the shelf in both robot and car mode. He has great articulation and can do several poses. He is overall a very nice figure and if you have a choice between 1974 camaro and 2009 camaro definitley pick the 2009 model.
Interesting. Most of the transformer reviews seem to be from a somewhat informed collector's perspective. Most of these seem to be from people who bought this model for their five year old kid and who thought they were going to get Ultimate Bumblebee (who retails for 80 bucks) because the price was marked up. Ten seconds of research would have given them the information to avoid such a mistake, but these people feel justified in railing against Amazon for charging extra for a product in high demand.
I'd agree with anybody that they shouldn't be buying these new transformers for young children. They are for kids who are at least 10, and for adult collectors. And from an adult collector perspective, it's a superb toy. It does have a complicated transformation, and what you get is a toy that looks stunning in both modes. And while many of the transformers have done a respectable job imitating the vastly more complex movie models, this one takes first prize, moreso than what I've seen of Ultimate Bumblebee.
So yes, the toy is in high demand, and you should either expect to spend a long time tracking one down, as I did, or fork over the cash for the quick fix. I was lucky enough to find a re-issue at Target yesterday, stocked by the cash registers instead of in the toy aisle. And I paid 9.99 for it.
So I recommend less cry-baby behavior from dimwit parents and some sense in realizing who these models are really designed for and why they're in high demand. Blame the manufacturers for claiming they're for younger kids, blame yourselves for buying without thinking, but don't blame Amazon, fer chrissakes.
Bumble Bee is my favorite movie character but it is not as good as my other transformer toys. It is hard to transform and some of the pieces always fall off. The one piece that falls off the most is his head. I like the toy but it is hard to transform.
I purchased this toy as a Christmas present for my 8-year-old nephew. He was absolutely ecstatic to get it and began enjoying it immediately. It soon became apparent that the transformation is a bit complicated and the main ball-joint that keeps the two main body parts together gives way much too easily. While my nephew had a blast, we had to continually keep rejoining the two halves during each transformation. Although the constant coming apart and the complicated transformation draw away from its other qualities, it is nonetheless a fun toy for a boy who is crazed with cars and Transformers.
Before he came to Earth, BUMBLEBEE could have cared less about his appearance. As long as his alternate mode kept him hidden, and protected his plasma cannon from the weather, he was content. But now, on Earth, he has found friendship for the first time in as long as he can remember, in the person of Sam Witwicky. At Sams urging, he scans a sweet new vehicle form. Now, hes still ready to fight to the end against the DECEPTICONS, but he sure hopes nothing too bad happens to his paint job. (Bakugan Launcher!)

This Bakugan Launcher is the exact same one that Dan uses, so it makes this cool! That's beside the point. According to my son the launcher is awesome! There are only two drags about this toy. One, you can only have 2 Bakugan in the launcher at one time. Two, it takes forever to launch a Bakugan! First, you have to open the Bakugan holders, take the Bakugan out, put it in the launching part, set the way you want your Bakugan to shoot out, and finally pull back the trigger and launch your Bakugan! Overall this is just anccessorie, you don't need this to play the game. But it does make the game more fun!
Bakugan battle brawlers are here! Answer the call to brawl and decide the fate of the galaxy! Strap on this marble-shooting Bakugan launcher and master skills to help defeat your opponent. (hard to open)

(Jazz is 7 layers of awesome!)

This was a Christmas present for my grandson. His mother said it was too hard for her to open, so she had her daughter open it for her brother. He's 5 and she's 12.
My 9 year old received this as a Christmas gift. It was hard to find one that wasn't the "second edition" from the fight scene of the movie. (I usually find what I'm looking for on Amazon!) He was so excited when he opened the gift but only played with it a couple of times. He's almost afraid to play with it much because upon first look you can tell that it is made out of a very cheap plasitc, as are most of the toys now'days. We have had 2 other Transformer vehicles break after playing with them only 1 time even with the boys being quite careful. As a parent I was really disappointed with the quality. However, the replication is done very well.
I was surprised to find that this, like other Transformers that were gifts for Christmas, seem to fall apart very easily. They can be put back together (i.e. they don't break) but it is frustrating finding the parts all over the house. This one, Jazz, seems the most durable of he others we have. We keep reminding our son to "not force" the Transformer to a changed position, and I overheard him giving the same advice to a friend while playing with it. My son (age 7) loves playing with these, and it was a big hit!
I just bought this toy yesterday, and it's great.
I've been watning to get Jazz for a really long time, but thanks to the in-store TF toy drought, it made really hard to find.
but eventually I got REALLY lucky and found the Jazz G1 repaint at Target.
If you haven't seen it, it is basically the same build, but he's white with blue and red stripes down the middle with the number "4" on the sides and on the hood. With this repaint, Jazz looks EXACTLY like his G1 counterpart, which is cool for me since I just got into transformers after the new movie.
However, this G1 Jazz repaint (along with the Starscream G1 repaint) are ONLY at Target.
Overall, great toy, the alt. mode looks great, the robot mode feels sturdy and he can make some cool poses, even with his limited articulation.
Jazz, the unsung hero of the Autobots, is just as cool in toy form as he is in the movie. And his selection of vehicle to change into is top notch. So get his action figure and partake in his awesomeness ;-)
If its worth doing its worth doing with style, thinks AUTOBOT JAZZ. The coolest of the AUTOBOTS, he rolls into battle against the DECEPTICONS with slick moves and a banging sound system. Theres no limit to his courage, and nothing he wont do in defense of Earth and the AllSpark. Drawing his blade, he prepares to bring the fight up close and personal with MEGATRON and his evil metal soldiers. (Expensive for a small toy, but 8 year old loves it)

(bumblebee transformer 1974 camaro)

Warning: once you transform this toy into robot mode, you will NEVER be able to put it back into perfect vehicle mode. The front end keeps popping off instead of staying in place. There's this pedal-like structure underneath that's apparently supposed to do something, but I don't know what it's supposed to do. The front end pops off whether the thingie is pushed in or extended.
These transformer toys are awesome and enjoyed by all
boys. The Transformer movie has inspired the sale of these
toys. They are easy to transform and the kids will sit and play for hours with them, mimicking scenes from the movie.
Small and portable, this toy provides fun at home or during those boring errand trips, giving idle hands something to do. 8-year old nephew is quick to show me how much he likes it and feels a sense of accomplishment when morphing it from one thing to another.
Watch out for the parts, they can come off, but do snap back on, other then the parts being small and can get lost, looking is more then playing with it

My Grandson asked for this transformer for christmas, He enjoyed it and played with it christmas Day and had alot of fun. I would reccommend it for other children.
Sent to Earth by OPTIMUS PRIME ahead of the other AUTOBOTS, this tough robots job is todo what he does best: gather information, find the keeper of the secrets of the AllSpark and remain hidden. BUMBLEBEE works best in silence and solitude, acting as an unseen guardian over his assigned target. Dont let the fact that he likes to remain hidden fool you though when it comes to a fight, he rushes in, both plasma cannons blazing!
