I ride a ten mile commute (5+5) where I come home close to midnight, so I use the lights on a regular basis for perhaps a 1/2 hour to an hour at a time. I ride mostly on city streets with the occasional driveway bump, curb hop or park trail. I rarely ride over rocks or logs or any other rough terrain, though I do fold the bike to bring it indoors or put it into a car trunk. The front light has four LED's mounted like a diamond, two in the center with one on each side if it. The rubber covered power button it on top near the front of the light and is fairly easy to press. I almost always use it in all-on mode, since the side LEDs seem to add a wider pool of light as I ride. I seem to get about a 5 foot wide 'spot' with a bit of ambient light around it the way I have it adjusted. The rear shell of the light comes off after you unscrew a small wheel at the rear and allows you to access the 4 AA batteries inside it, also arranged like a diamond. If the bike or light gets a good shock, one battery can come loose from it's contact, but wrapping a small rubber band around the batteries before putting them back in shell keep them in place. I get about 2-3 months of bright light then a month of dimming before I realize I have to swap out the batteries. The light slides into a small rail on the front clamp, and allows you to ratchet-swivel the light to compensate for angled handlebars. The bar on my bike was a bit too thick to allow me to mount it at first near the center stem. However, after removing one of the two small rubber pieces inside the clamp ring, I found it widened enough mount it closer to the left grip where the bar isn't so thick. (side note, my Dahon's handle bars seem specially designed NOT to work with some Blackburn products. A bar-end mirror was too thick to fit inside the tube, and needed some Dremel work to get it to fit.) I noticed after about 6 months that the swivel point had worked loose and the clamp fell apart, allowing the relatively top-heavy light to fall off skittering along the road. The lamp itself faired well, but I was never able to get the two clamp pieces to stay together tightly, so first I used duct tape, then a zip-tie to firmly mount the light to the handlebar. Since the mountain bike style bar has a slight angle to it, the spot of light is now angled slightly to the side. I can use my thumb to slightly adjust the beam in a pinch if I really need to see directly in front of me, but the pool of light is 'almost' enough to not really be necessary. If I could mount it closer to the center of the bar I wouldn't have the angle issue, even with the zip-tie. The rear light had 3 large LED's and 4 smaller ones. I normally use them in the all-on setting as with the front one. (I think the flashing lights make the rider look a little goofy) The red rear light is bright enough that it can be used as a 'coming home' light if I don't want to bother those sleeping as I come into the house as I look for navigate the house. The small screws holding the rear shell together is a pain to remove without using a tiny screwdriver. The 2 AAA batteries last me about 3-4 months at a reasonable brightness. A rubber seal on both lights seem to make them weather resistant, as I haven't noticed any water or corrosion inside them when changing the batteries front or rear. The rear light mounts to the seat post with a plastic 'radiator hose' style clamp with a groove for the pen-clip style clip of the rear light to slot into. I found I could remove it fairly easily after a bit of practice, as I has small teeth holding it to the clamp when you slide it in. After a few months, I found the rear clamp cracked, allowing it to swing loosely on the seat post. I ended up using another zip-tie to tightly attach it to the post, which holds tightly but now prevents me from using it as my late night entry light. I just cut the tie when I need to replace the batteries and then use a new zip-tie to secure it again. IF the mounting brackets held up over time, I'd have given these lights 4 stars, and if the front light fit over the thicker part of my handlebar, I'd have given it 5 stars. For the price, they do throw out a good pattern. Just don't trust the mounts Bought two of these for my wife and myself. They are very bright and easy to install. The batterys are no problem to put in, all you need is a jewelers screwdriver for the rear light.(Go buy one of those kits they sell for glasses, less then 2 bucks). The rear light is very bright as well as the front one, although the front one is really only good as a warning light not a headlight. This is a good set for someone who rides around the neighborhood that has some street lights. Good for the casual rider. This light combo pack is great. Very bright headlamp and the taillight has a clip to put on my bike bag and a clamp to install in the seat post. These lights are bright! I ride most days to work and often come home in the dark. I've had one other set of lights that were pretty decent but the Mars set is way brighter. The front lamp is esp nice since you can see it really well from the side too. That way all those right turning cars at red lights don't plow me over. The clip for the rear light is very well made but I do have some problems with the front light clip. It just doesn't slide&click so well. Also the front light is rather heavy so if the bracket for holding it to your handlebar isn't tight it can slip. Overall tho I think its one of the best I've seen and pretty cheap too. Long battery life too. This is an excellent light set for the price. Both lights are bright and offer a few optional blinking patterns. The brackets do seem a little flimsy but I could not make them fail on the road or the trail, and I tried! For $20, I got way more than I expected!! See and be seen in low light conditions with this front- and back-light combo kit.

(webkinz fun onn the computer!)

(WebKinz website probably overloaded)

(Technical problems and customer service nightmare!)
What a great idea. Buy Webkinzs animals and the kids love to go on their site with a code that is on the animal. They can also interact on the site with their actual friends. Hours of healthy computer fun and they can learn a lot. Word games, numbers, checkers, etc. The toy is adorable although they are a little pricy. It's the toy animal of 2008. This one is in high demand!
I got the Webkinz Yellow Lab with my birthday money. It is very durable, fun and you can adopt it on an educational website. it comes with a tag that has a code in it that you put in on the site to adopt your virtual pet. after that you can buy rooms for your pet and earn money that you can spend on your pet. I named mine Jonathan. this is a fun and educational toy that I reccomend to all kids.
We've purchased other products(Bebratz, munchiz, and Barbie)with on-line websites and have disappointed. Those sites can be slow, difficult to navigate, or limited in their content. The webkinz site is fun and educational for my 10 year old girl. She says she has learned more about science playing the quizzy corner.
Her webkinz is very cute and she plays with it off-line more than her other stuffed animals. Overall a great value and we will probably buy more webkinz.
The webkinz arrived very quickly.
There are problems with the WebKinz website which they are aware of and are working to fix. I see notices posted almost every day about the technical support problems. My guess is there were lots of kids with new toys and time off school.
People with dial-ups probably will have more of a problem.
They said on the site that they would compensate in WebKinz dollars, which is a kind of currency only used for virtual objetcts. Users will get this automatically.
It is now Jan. 14 and I have have had very few problems over the last few days, so I am seeing improvement. I had trouble logging in and locking up.
My kiddos love Webkins and my older daughter has been able to play and add her new pets without any problems, but my youngest daughter has had nothing but problems. She couldn't log in, then when she finally was able to she got a message saying that the secret code of her brand new webkin had already been used, then the next time the new pet did show up but she hadn't been able to complete the adoption, and now she can't get into "my room" at all. This has happened with all 3 of her new Webkinz. I have followed the instructions and sent polite and thorough explanations through the poorly designed customer service links provided on the website and so far have only received canned responses saying that someone will get back to me in 1-3 days. My emails were sent 4 days ago. Great idea, great product, but these problems and the unprecedented poor level of customer service give this toy a poor review. I hope they are able to fix their problems and if the can't, I hope someone comes along and does it better.
Webkinz animals come with a special internet code where your child can interact with it. They can name it, make it a home, even play games. Not recommended for children under 3. NOTE* Due to limited supply; Webkinz orders are limited to 12 pieces per style per customer. Polyester.

(Great Indy set)

Lego's teach patience and following directions. My grandson, at 5 1/2, has conquered sets past the age recommended on the package. It gives us time together, working quietly and talking about "Lego's and Life" while watching him get the satisfaction that he actually built the toy he gets to play with. We also glue many of the parts to make them more durable in his play scenarios.
This set is a nice little Indiana Jones set. You get the lost temple, two Anubis statues that Indy can topple and break through some walls, although you don't get the extra room with all the corpses, but there is a snake trap that dumps snakes into the room. You also get the Ark of the Covenant and of course Indy and Marion Ravenwood.

(One of the most loved toys in our home!)

(Fisher Price Amazing Animals Sing&Go Choo Choo)

We got this for our son's 1st birthday (he's now 20 mos). He didn't really like it at first because we would put it on the "drive" setting and let it go across the floor. Now that he is a little older and can walk around he turns it on and chases it all over the house calling out "choo choo choo choo". He also loves to push the buttons that make the animal noises. The animals make great toys by themselves too, and are great to throw into the diaper bag to keep him busy on a long car trip. From all the abuse it's received at his hands, I'm surprised the thing still works perfectly! It appears to be incredibly durable, which I like, and we haven't had to replace batteries yet after almost a year, which is also nice.
My 8 mo old son got this for Christmas and was instantly in love with it, and still plays with it all the time at 1 yr. As a matter of fact, I have trouble keeping it away from my 4 yr old and her friends--who want to play with it as much as he does.
This toy really seems to grow with the child!
I don't know who loves this toy more, my 8 month old son (the intended recipient) or my 3 year old daughter!!!
My son received this as a Christmas gift when he was 6 months old. He immediately took to it, as well as his big sister. It's actually caused a bit of a problem in our house because they both want to play with it all the time!
My daughter has attached other cars and her wooden train set to it to create a "SUPER TRAIN, MOM!" and loves to fill the train with other little toys. My son loved to watch the wheels turn in stationary mode and bat at the little bouncy bird on a spring. Now that he's crawling he chases it all around the house.
One of the few toys that hasn't gotten on the adult's nerves, too! ;-) The Amazing Animals and Their Choo-Choo Each animal car is full of rewarding activities to engage baby's attention. The engine car has leaf-shaped beads that slide from side-to-side and the smallest car has a built-in trapeze for the monkey. A light-up smokestack delights the eyes and when pressed the train moves forward in a straight line. For hours of amusement, the animals have movable joints, textured feet, teethable ears, and rainstick sounds. This toy is made from sturdy plastic and can withstand harsh child play. It rides especially smooth over hard surfaces, but works on carpet too. Best of all, should you suddenly feel like you're in a zoo, there is a power-volume control for quiet play. The Go Choo-Choo Train requires three C batteries (not included) and measures 23-by-7-by-13 inches (LxWxH).
Features What's in the Box
I purchased this toy for my six month old based upon the great reviews it received. My son who is now 9 months still has no desire to play with this toy. At first, he liked taking the animals off the train and putting them in his mouth but to be honest I have found that this toy has to be put away until he is more around 18 months. Then maybe he will like moving the train around the room but I doubt it. My son is more of an auditory and tactile person than visual. It was not worth the expense. The best toy out there are the rings that hard plastic rings that can link together and that are easy to carry with him and the soft toys he can put in his mouth. He plays more with my dogs Ty Dolls (beanie babies) because they have more texture varities to them than even the soft teethers for baby do. I hope this helps.
My 8 month old grandson has so much fun with this toy. He loves the sounds and the lights. The animals have different textures on the bottom of their feet and baby enjoys seeing the animals in their cars. The toy is simple to use. Baby learned how to make the train go, how to hear the songs and how to turn on the lights in just a short time. This toy has brought hours of entertainment to baby. He goes for this toy first at playtime.
Toot! Toot! This motorized train helps Baby learn about animals through songs and play. Each train car has a unique feature that's sure to capture your little one's attention. The engine has a light-up smokestack that makes the train come to life when pressed. The train begins to roll forward and a song plays. Place an animal in the driver's area to learn more about the world of animals through a song. The second car features a bead bar to engage Baby's interest. Choose from two modes of play: sitting mode for the youngest baby and motion-activated mode for older play. Includes three animal friends. Requires 3 "C" batteries (not included). Measures 13" x 12" x 6.8".
Toot! Toot! Here come the animals, riding around on a musical choo-choo train. This fun motorized train helps babies ages six months to three years learn about animals through song and play.
Simply place one of the three small friends in the engine car to one of four amusing songs about animals. Baby will love to crawl along with the train as it lights up, playing music and sounds. The Go Choo-Choo also encourages curiosity as the baby figures out how to make it go. Each train car has a unique feature that captures your precious little one's attention and keeps them busy. You can choose between a sitting mode for the youngest baby and motion-activated for older play. Watch out parents, the tunes are so catchy, you'll soon be humming them yourself!
It is no surprise that this choo-choo was chosen for Parent's Magazine Best Toys of the Year award, 2006, as well as other prestigious awards. It develops motor skills and helps babies learn to crawl, while teaching them about animals. And these chunky animals are not just cute, their feet are sculpted with various textures for fun exploration and they have teether ears to chew on. This toy also appeals to a diverse age, from babies who are first learning to crawl to toddlers who like to sing along with the animal friends. Plus, Amazing Animals sets are available if you'd like to add to the bunch.
Three animal friends and a motorized train.

Select 'Sit and Play' mode for younger babies.
Select 'Move-Along Fun' mode for active babies.

(Great outdoor fun)

(Well worth the money)

(turns on a dime)

("Purple" Razor)

(kickin' scooter!)

I got two of these for my 10 year old girl/boy twins, and both love them. They don't do any difficult tricks, but just ride them around the neighborhood. My daughter said this scooter was much nicer than her friend's scooter which was a cheaper model.
Our kids received one each from their grandparents and want to ride everyday. I must admit that I am under the weight limitation and I am thoroughly enjoying the Razor myself ... when our son will share his and ride his bike instead.
No parent will be disappointed with this gift for kids and if you're under 143lbs, for yourself as well.
My six year old girl asked for a two-wheeled scooter for Christmas so she could go super fast! It does!! And it turns on a dime! It didn't take long for her to learn how to control steering, braking, etc. And she's on to doing stunts "like the big boys do". She always wears her helmet. It is easy to store and travel since it folds. It should last as she grows with the easy to adjust handle. Gravel slows her down but doesn't stop her in her tracks so don't worry about having a perfectly smooth surface for good performance.
I purchased a "Purple" Razor A2 Kick Scooter. My 6 year old granddaughter was one happy little girl and with it being purple was even more exciting. It was great when I found this on Amazon.com and I received it in time for Christmas. Thank you
So far, so good with my 5 year old son's new razor scooter. It's a simple enough product, so I don't know how it could get bad reviews. Does it get my child from point A to point B without any serious mishaps? Yes indeedy. Ok, I do have one negative to point out. Be careful when you pick the dang thing up to move it when your child leaves it laying in the middle of the garage, as it spins around and will catch your ankle with the heavy metal board. Son of a motherless goat, that's gonna leave a mark!!
The Razor A2 Original Kick Scooter is now better than ever.
Features:
- New springless front wheel shock system
- All-new wheelie bar
- Updated deck design
- Aircraft-grade aluminum t-tube and deck
- 98mm urethane wheels with ABEC five bearings
- Patented rear fender brake
- Patented folding mechanism
- Front suspension
- Weighs only eight lbs.
- Easy to fold and carry
- Holds up to 143 pounds.
The original kick scooter just got a whole lot better, making it even more fun for kids and teens alike. Though it'll never replace the internal combustion engine, the Razor A2 will get your child from point A to point B much quicker than on foot alone, and requires just a few scoots of one's shoes in the process. Plus, it's a blast to use, as your progeny will likely attest.
The Razor A2 is built of aircraft-grade aluminum, a sturdy material that holds up to use and abuse through the years. Razor combined the traditional aluminum construction, however, with a number of recent innovations, including a springless shock system that makes bumpy pavement feel smoother than ever and an all-new wheelie bar that guarantees an extra dollop of fun. Add in the foldable T-tube and deck, which tuck together to create a compact footprint (ideal for carrying when riding isn't appropriate), and you have a great kick scooter for virtually any situation. Other details include an enhanced finger guard, 98 mm inline-style wheels, and a patented rear fender brake for quick stops.
This version of the Razor A2, which weighs around 6 pounds and supports up to 143 pounds, sports blue handlebars, a blue deck logo, and blue wheels and is recommended for ages 5 and older. It's also backed by a six-month warranty. For the next step up, try the Razor A3 Scooter.
Key Features:
- For riders ages 5 and older
- Sturdy aluminum construction
- Weighs approximately six pounds
- Retractable kickstand
- Rear fender brake
- Enhanced finger guard
- Patented folding mechanism
- 143-pound user weight capacity
- Six-month warranty
The buyer and rider of the Razor A2 scooter are responsible for knowing and obeying all local, state, and federal regulations regarding the riding and use of scooters.

(Great, durable floor puzzle)

(Fun Fish puzzle)

(Good quality)

(GREAT PUZZLE!!!)

(awesome!)

My 3 year old loves this puzzle. It has so many colors in it that makes it challenging over and over again. It is durable enough to not break even when our big dog walks over it. This puzzle might be a little hard for some toddlers.
My 2 year old son is a big fan of fish and the sea. This puzzle was his birthday gift. He still needs assistance putting it together but he absolutely loves the imagery. I've taught him the names of different fish which he amazingly committed to memory in very little time. He now recites the names of the fish while I put together the puzzle. I think Melissa and Doug would've been well served actually including an insert that identifies all the species (there are quite a few of them). The puzzle pieces are nice and large so there's no worry of choking.
Good quality, and fun, and I enjoy doing it too. I like things that both me and my kids like to do. My 3 year old likes it as much as the 7 and 11 year old.
This puzzle has beautiful color to it. The pieces are really, really nice, big, and of great quality. (Even the box is durable!) The detail and color of the puzzle are very fun for kids. My 5 yr-old daughter has enjoyed this puzzle and loves to do it over and over again. I would definitely suggest it to others.... and the price on amazon is worth it, too.
My daughter loves this puzzle. We talk about colors, the types of fish, etc. The pieces are nice and thick and the puzzle is just the right level for a 3-4 year old.
Piece together tons of fun with this puzzle that features an undersea adventure. This colorful, detailed Underwater-themed floor puzzle is made of heavy-duty cardboard with an easy-clean surface that helps keep the puzzle looking new. 48 pieces. Measures 36" x 24".
Beginning puzzlers build dexterity and problem-solving abilities with this colorful, 2-by-3-foot floor puzzle. A green-and-blue ocean-floor background is crowded with colorful and weirdly shaped marine life, from octopus to crab, fish, and coral. The complex image builds matching skills for sure, as children use the box picture to identify and place each of the big, easy-to-clean, 48 pieces. Alone or with parent or playmate, this scene makes a fun challenge they'll turn to again and again. Glued and matted, it'll also make a wonderful wall hanging.--Ava Natov
