(A unique game on a unique system)

(The World Ends if you don't buy this game)

(Square Hits a Home Run)

(Wonderful, but Repetitive and Linear)

(Absolutely amazing)

It's kind of difficult to be a gamer in the next-gen era since there's just so many games that it is kind of difficult to invest the kind of hours a game requires since there is so many games that interest you and with work, school etc taking up time as well, it can be tricky trying to play everything that comes down the pipe. Strange as it is, I haven't played much DS games but not for lack of games but just lack of funds. I thought I'd give The World Ends With You a shot and while I wouldn't say it's one of my favorite games on the DS, it's sure quite fun to play anyway.
Story: You play as Neku, a kid who is more comfortable being by himself and doesn't want to rely on anyone (a kid after my own heart, it seems). He awakens in the Shibuya District in Tokyo with amnesia and no clue of how we arrived. Soon, he receives a message to be somewhere in 60 minutes or face erasure. With the ability to read minds and teaming up with a young girl, Shiki, Neku has to complete various tasks and take on numerous creatures lest he face being erased.
Graphics: The game's graphics go for more a presentation rather than really going all-out in terms of the visuals. With character designs from Tetsuya Nomura who worked on various Final Fantasy games and the movie, the game takes on a comic-book feel mixed with 2D graphics to create the world which is quite inviting and certainly never boring.
Sound/Music: The voice acting is kind of scattered with voice clips and sentences now and then as well as the occasional "huh?" when a character's confused or surprised. It works well within the game though too bad it wasn't voice acting the entire game. As for the music, it's a good mix of J-Pop and Rock and even though I wouldn't really call it a buy or even download-worthy but it works quite well and I never felt like I had to put on my own music.
Gameplay: Most DS games use either screen as a map or extra gameplay features such as accessing special attacks or character stats. This game however requires both to fight as Neku and his partner have to battle the creatures on both screens in a sort-of tag team as Neku battles with the stylus on the bottom while the partner takes on the same enemy with the D-Pad or the face buttons on the top. Beat an enemy on one screen and it disappears from both screen so coordination and combos are extremely helpful. In fact they're kind of a necessity since successful attacks will pass a "puck" to the other player and keep it going long enough and better attacks will form. I will admit at first it was hard to keep track of both screens but while I still got hit quite a bit, I became a lot better and with the game's adjustable difficulty menu (the "harder" you make it, the better items and EXP you get) so it's best to start slow.
Neku uses attacks based on "pins" which are basically equippable moves that can level up the more you use them. One requires a vertical slash with the stylus to cut enemies while another can allow you to nab cars and other objects and fling them at enemies. Tap repeatedly for bullets, drag to create a fire trail or slash vertically to create ice columns are just some of the special attacks that you can utilize. If you don't have a screen protector yet, buy one since the action can get quite scratch-heavy and a protector will help. Another is that it's very easy to miss your enemy and with a usage timer that has to recharge before you can use it again, you'll probably rely on a certain set of pins for best in battle.
Other things can be used such as shops where you can buy clothing and wearing certain clothing in certain areas will give you bonuses since you're more "with it". It is isn't like say San Andreas where you can make your guy super muscular or ridiculously fat but it gives more options for strategy and gameplay changes. Other things like eating food which takes time to digest which will also give you stats help with playing the game and the customizing and new game+ features help the game feel more fresh the more you play. A word of caution though: this game can easily kick your *** if you're not careful and I often found myself being attacked from all sides on both screens because my eyes or fingers weren't fast enough but not to dissuade gamers from picking it up since it is fun and certainly different than "press X" gameplay but it took some getting used to.
There's games that are a bit more niche audience and more for a certain kind of gamer but I'd say everyone needs to at least play The World Ends With You at least once. Not just for the uniqueness of it but the possibility after all the weirdness that you just might end up loving it.
I'm not sure who comes to Amazon looking for advice on which games to get, but I can't say enough good things about TWEWY. It has, quite literally, the very best battle system I have ever played in an action RPG, not to mention one of the most demanding- in battle, you control characters on both screens at once, and though it may seem overwhelming (and in the beginning, it very well may be), you'll soon be chaining combos and earning pins at an astounding rate.
Don't let this end up on a "Great Games Nobody Bought" list- it deserves better.
The first thing that struck me about `The World Ends With You' is the high quality of the production values. This is a one slick looking game. The next thing that hit me was how complicated the game is. I tend to prefer simpler RPG's like Paper Mario and the fantastic Mario and Luigi games but once you get past the moderate learning curve this is an awesome game. It's also a game the devilishly hard to put down.
As with just about every RPG ever created the meat of the game involves battles and leveling up. The action takes place on both the top and bottom screens. The top screen is managed using the directional pad while the lower requires the stylus. Players are given the choice as to which screen to control while the action in the opposite screen is taken care of by the system. I would generally switch back and forth in mid battle. The stylus attacks are more fun and powerful but the directional pad attacks can allow for devastating synced attacks. It all works very well and has yet to grow tedious. As a player gets more confident in fighting she can chain battles to fight multiple enemies in a row for greater rewards.
The rewards for battles include the standard experience points, cash and treasure but you also get experience points for the pins you bring to the fight. Pins? Pins are a way to customize your attacks. By attaching one or more pins you can employ various attacks including flames, ice, bullets using motions of the stylus. Most pins are upgradable through experience and some even evolve into more powerful pins.
The game I'm most reminded of playing TWEWY is the classic `River City Ransom' and that is high praise indeed. The game involves traveling around a city, fighting battles and purchasing clothes, foods and pins to increase your fighting abilities. River City Ransom was one of the all time great games and I always wondered why its formula was never emulated more. I'm not sure that the developers of The World had `River City Ransom' in mind when they created this game but it certainly was on mine while I played it.
This is one of the best handheld RPG's I've ever played. The story is very good if a bit more verbose than I usually like. The best thing I can say about this game is I never got bored and that's not always the case with RPG's. There is so much character building in the game whether it be upgrading your pins, creating relationships with salespeople or just increasing your attack and defense stats. I would have to put this game in the must get category for RPG fans.
The World Ends With You (JP version: It's a Wonderful World) is indeed an innovative game from the teams behind Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy series. The battle system is very dynamic and the music sounds appropriate for the Shibuya District setting. The best part of the game in my opinion, was the sliding scales for levels that allow the player to make the game as easy as a breeze or tough as nails as he or she chooses.
However, the fun rubbed off after about 2/3 through the game for me. The story is very linear. There are no real side quests or any departure from the 'get out of the Game' storyline for the player to explore. The Tin Pin Slammer (JP: Marble Slash) grew boring very quickly. The battles became repetitive and I eventually set the difficulty level to the Easy mode just the finish the game and see the ending of the plot.
Another warning: screen protector for the stylus screen of the DS is a must. After clocking 150 hours into the game and using slash-movement type pins (JP: badges), the bottom screen of my DS became rough and permanently damaged. I had to slap a Hori protector screen on to preserve a smooth surface and prevent further damage.
Access Points are time-consuming to obtain in the game especially for people who is the only person in the neighborhood who owns the game. It comes down to leaving the DS on for extensive periods of time for random Access Points to come by for leveling up and evolving certain badges. This has caused my game to take over 300 hours and still incomplete.
I Love this game so much! It's so original and just takes full advantage of everything that the DS can do. The game is a little tricky to get used to but it really eases new players into it. You get to choose your level of difficulty at any given point in the game. You decide how easy or hard the game is going to be. You also choose when and who you want to fight. There are NO random battles to drag you down in this game. I would recommend this game to anyone who is looking for a new and great RPG.
Imagine waking up one morning and finding out that you will soon cease to exist. That's the message that Neku found on his phone in The World Ends With You. (An Amazing Value)

(Nice kit)

(Not big enough)

(Great Accessory Package)

(It's like a swiss army knife)

After looking at the over-priced cases at Best Buy, I was skeptical about this kit. It has everything I could use and more (including screen protectors, a pen-style stylus, several kinds of storage for game cartridges, earbuds, a very nice carrying case that stores everything but the car charger...it seemed like there must be SOMETHING wrong at this price!
But...no. It's exactly as promised (I haven't tried the car charger yet, but reviews here indicate it works). What an excellent value for $19.99!
This kit is very complete. The only negative thing is the case. I was able to put in the case for the games and I had a hard time closing it after I placed in the DS. The rest is great.
For all the little goodie you get - you really can't fit the DS in the bag. We made this the GameBoy case and got another one to put the DS in. Not really worth the money if you want everything in one case.
Nintendo DS is great for traveling and this accessory packages is exactly what you need to go along with it.
This travel kit has just about everything you will need for your DS(minus a game). It is basicly a DS swiss army knife, where you can pull out whatever you need for any situiation. PLenty of stuff make it a good deal as well.

(Nintendo DS Lite Cobalt and Black)

(Nintendo DS does not disappoint)

(This is a great console!)

(Great System)

Bought 4 of these for my grand children. 3 girls, 1 boy. They trade games, write to each other, not a dull moment anywhere.
As you can see, I also drive school bus. Many of the students have these in the grade school and middle schools. Keeps them in their seats, and busy for the 40 minutes on the bus each day. 10 stars if I could give them. They are constantly trading games.
Purchased for grandson's 10th birthday. It has more features then I knew. My grandson had requested it and just loves it. One of the features that he likes is talking to a neighbor or someone on his school bus. I also bought the Chihauhau game (he personaly has a Chihauhau dog) and he likes the game, too. So, this was a good buy; it works very well and so far we have no complaints.
We bought this for our daughter's 9th birthday to replace the GameBoy. She just loves it! It has better graphics and can play so many great games. A huge step up. She also likes that she can play her old GameBoy games on it.
My friend inspired me to get a Nintedo DS.I didn't realise I was going to get the DS lite!I own the black version and its great. It looks sleek and fancy. You probably want to know if this console works properly? Well the answer is: it works BRILLIANTLY!!!The nice thing about the DS,is that you can also play Gameboy advance games on it.It has wireless connection so you can ( on most games ) connect with other people. The DS unlike the WII is very portable.
So if you are tired of that old gameboy,GET NINTENDO DS LITE!!!
I really like the Nintendo DS. With the touchscreen it gives you complete control over what you play, and how you play it. The only problem with it is the bottom edge of the DS separates from the rest, just the plastic case. Nothing wrong with it, but maybe Nintendo should use better glue?
Lighter, brighter and just as fun as the original Nintendo DS, the Nintendo DS Lite arrives just in time for hungry gamers. It's smaller than the original DS, with brighter screens and adjustable backlighting. The DS Lite sets itself apart from every other hand-held gaming system on the market with a variety of new features. Center microphone Larger stylus for a better grip Easy-to-reach Start and Select buttons Removable cover keeps the Game Boy Advance cartridge slot clear from dust and debris when not in use Color - Polar White

(Revive your brain!)

(no brain dead game here!)

(Annoying)

(A BIT DISAPPOINTING)

(fabulous games! 10 stars!)

Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day!
This is a great way to get your brain sharpened. It is especially great for retirees who need to make their brains as sharp as they were when they were younger. It's fun to play. A great challenge to those grey cells. Keeps you sharp.
Great investment. The whole family can play and challenge each other.
Maybe it will postpone my alzheimers while at the same time engage my child.
While I really enjoy Sudoku puzzles&brain games of all kinds, I found this program very frustrating. On the timed tests, it frequently misinterpreted letters or numbers and graded me down accordingly. If you do not make your numbers in the exact same way as the program (including the stylus strokes in the same order), prepare for your 4's to be interpreted as 9's etc. The scientist character makes annoying and occasionally judgmental comments regarding your progress ("feeling a little tired today?") and if you miss training for a few days, prepare to be scolded.
I appreciate the premise that exercising one's brain has numerous benefits in the short and long-term, however the "cute" commentary and the difficulty with character recognition was annoying enough to merit only 2 stars.
From all the ads on television and all the rave reviews that this game received, I just had to have it as well.
Some things about it I like, such as the idea of doing daily puzzles ... but some things are very frustrating and annoying.
The frustration comes in the fact that you are expected to drill the math problems extremely fast. Writing so quickly and not having the system recognize the number will count as an error even though you wrote down the correct answer. My writing is extremely clear and legible, but many times the game didn't recognize it correctly.
I, like others, found the comments extremely annoying. I didn't care for the childish admonishments. I understood that this game was geared for adults. I don't think adults need to be told to get sleep or to eat regular meals ... please.
I don't think I'll be keeping this game. It is going to find its way to Game Stop as a trade-in very soon.
I'm a bit let down as I really wanted to like this game.
About 4 months ago, and for the express purpose of mental acuity (I am 61), I got a DS Lite bundle with "Brain Age 1" in it.
I really like the DS and the BA game. About a month after I started BA1, I liked it so much that I bought BA 2. Then, a friend gave me "Big Brain Academy." I do all three, start to finish, daily.
The game's goal is to get your brain age down to 20 years. I started at "age 80," which was quite humbling because I thought I did quite a bit to keep mentally sharp! (But I am down to 29 and 31, respectively, for 1&2. I've been doing these games for 3½ months. I'm very competitive against a standard, so I am going to keep goin' for 20! Maybe before I turn 70!)
Scores are based on accuracy and speed. Instructions are very clear, both on-screen and in the written dox.
And it even greets you with "happy birthday" on your special day!
Negatives. (1) The voice-recognition feature doesn't work at all well. For me, at least. So I just skip the games that require it. Unfortunately, the brain age tests use games that use voice-recognition. More below on a cheat for this. (2) Sometimes the stylus is too sensitive. More below. (3) I'd like to be able to click through the helper's "commentary," but I haven't figured out how to do that yet. Also, depending on the time of day, there are 'events' (drawing from memory, acrostics, etc.) that I'd like to click through to get to the training games, but haven't figured that out yet, either. Maybe it's not possible.
The game is entirely stylus-controlled. The handwriting recognition is pretty good. (Far, far better than in "Brain Challenge"!) You don't have to bear down on the stylus in order for the game to "read" your response.
In fact, if you don't hold the stylus far enough away from the screen, you get "interference" and the game won't read your response. (A video on YouTube shows a fellow doing the set of 20 math-fact calculations in 7 seconds. It appears that he writes very small and doesn't lift the stylus very high. When I do this, I get non-reads. Right now I'm at 14 sec. and I don't see how I can write any faster, so this guy's record is safe from me!)
You will have to learn how to write so the game will read it. For example, fours must be "open" rectangles at the top - - not the ones that are closed triangles. K must be done in 2 strokes. Vs have to be wide. Ts must be upper case. Lower case Is, and put the dot quite far up. And so on. I have the most trouble with having it read my 5s.
You can play the games multiple times a day, but only the score on the first one will be recorded.
Some games come with normal/hard settings. The hard ones are real killers! ("Head Count" and "Triangle Math" are downright devilish!)
I feel very accomplished on days when I run the table on the calendar (BA 2) and the clock games (one on BA 1 and one on 2)! I don't care about the speed as much as I do the accuracy on these.
BA1 has 2 math-facts games (20 problems and 100). The reading-aloud game (how fast you can speak) is a bust because of the voice recognition problem. A memory game of tapping boxes in ascending numerical order is a challenge for me. You get to see the jumbled arrangement of the numbered boxes for a split second (like maybe a 1/10th). The game in which you count syllables in printed words is easy.
Triangle math is a little confusing at first. There are 3 numbers in a row at the top. Between each pair is a + or - sign. The middle number is shared. The line might read 8+5-3. You do two calculations: 8+5 is 13; and 5-3 is 2. At the bottom will be a sign that says whether to add or subtract the two answers (in this case, 13 and 2). Brush up on adding a subtracting negative numbers!
The clock game is for time elapsed. You are given 2 clocks to compare. Yes, I am still counting on my fingers for the number of hours, though I'm quicker on elapsed minutes.
One called "Head Count" is tracking people walking into and out of a house, which calls for lightning-fast calculations to arrive at how many people are in the house. With each of the 5 iterations, speed increases. (The "hard" setting for this one is darned scary. I don't want to give away the secret, but it's a hair-raiser! The first time I tried it, I laughed!)
There's a "voice calculation" game, in which you say the result of a math-fact equation. I skip that one.
There's also a Sudoku section. Can't comment on that. Don't like Sudoku.
The math section of BA2 opens with a game in which you are given three numbers, and you are to supply one of the four operations. For 6 [box] 4 = 2 , you write a minus sign. For the division sign, write a slash (/); don't bother to write the two dots. It's easy to get + and x signs rotated when you're writing in a hurry, so watch this.
The piano playing game is really fun, though some of the songs zip along at quite a challenging speed! The "hard" version of this one doesn't give the letter-names of the piano keys. The change-making game is really fun, too. Reminds me of the kids' cash register with wooden money we had in pre-school.
"Word Blend" requires you to distinguish words being said simultaneously. You write them down. The first is one word; then there are several of two words; and one of 3 words. A challenge. One of the hard ones for me recently were "motion" and "poison" said simultaneously. Your score is based on how many times you want to re-hear the speakers. Supposedly skill at aural differentiation is one of the best markers for brain acuity. In fact, there is another brain-train system I saw on PBS on one of their "begging shows." It was, as I recall, entirely based on aural recognition.
Related is one in which letters of words spin in a circle, and you must identify the words. Here is where how well you've learned to write so BA can read it is important.
"Math Recall" is the other math-fact game on BA2. You get a simple problem - - such as 5 + 4 - - and you write the answer. Then one of the numbers will be obliterated, and a new problem presented. You have to remember what was "erased" and do the new calculation. For example, the 5 might be blackened and a 7 substituted for the 4. In this case, the new equation is 5+7, but you don't get to see the 5 anymore.
I "study up" before I do the calendar game because I can never remember the date! The clock one will drive you nuts. I finally figured out how to "look" at the clocks so I could get the orientation right. I was even looking at the clocks as though I were inside a clock tower, looking outwards on the world. There's a better way, but you have to figure this out for yourself. Won't tell!
There's falling-block game where you have to track how many blocks are "behind the screen." Sometimes multiple blocks will fall into a slot, which is no big deal, however, sometimes blocks are rotated sideways (like a barbell) and cover 2 slots. It was a long time before I figured out how to deal with this; this is the only game that is not well-described in the documentation. When this happens, both slots take on the value of the "fullest" one prior to the barbell action. This one is hard for me. There's also a "running game," in which you keep track of a runner's position. This one is easy.
I am patiently waiting for BA3. No more clocks on that one, I hope!
Negatives. (1) The voice-recognition feature doesn't work at all well. For me, at least. So I just skip the games that require it. Unfortunately, the brain age tests use games that use voice-recognition. More below on a cheat for this. (2) Sometimes the stylus is too sensitive, as noted. (3) I'd like to be able to click through the "commentary," but I haven't figured out how to do that yet.
I like that the score is descending in age because I know what the perfect score is (age 20).
Haven't been able to find any cheats from other sources, so here are the ones I've stumbled on for both Brain Age 1 and 2.
1. If things get fouled up, press "start" to bail and have the option to start over.
2. To avoid taking brain age tests using the speaking function, when asked if you are in a place where you can speak, answer no.
3. When you want to do a "brain age check" (pink), hold down "select" as you tap it. Tap through the "I can't speak" screen, and you'll come upon a screen of other games to use to calculate brain age. (Same thing for BA 2.) Use these if you want additional games for practice, also.
4. The "virus buster" game on BA2 can be only unlocked after you've done 1 game that day. There is no bonus game on BA1.
5. When you're doing the BA tests and get fouled up, you can't press "start" to start over. Your only choice to abort is to turn off the unit.
6. When doing BA tests, if you make an error, you must correct it to continue. The game will not "pass over" wrong answers after a certain number of seconds have elapsed. Time matters!
- -
I recommend both BA games enthusiastically. You will not be disappointed in either.
mb
PS. The other day I caught myself doing the subtraction in my check register without reaching for the calculator! I hadn't even thought to get it out of the drawer! There were the numbers, I had to subtract them, and no big deal! Before-BA, I would have had the calculator in my hand before even reaching for the checkbook!
PSS. Big Brain Academy is fun, too. Some people say they object to the juvenile/"cartoon-y" graphics, but they don't bother me at all. I am just delighted when Dr. Lobe says, "SO MASSIVE" (caps his) and hear the boisterous calliope music. (I know. I am easily amused.)
Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day is a fun, rewarding form of entertainment everyone can enjoy. Inspired by cutting-edge neuroscience, it's a full set of reading and mathematic exercises that stimulate the brain. At the start, you'll take a series of tests and get a score that determines how old your brain is. (Code junkies or junk code?)
When I bought this product, I was very happy. But while I was playing the game(I was using the run through anything cheat for pokemon diamond) the game suddenly went blank. When I reset it, the game worked, but I could no longer ride my bike, fly on my pokemon, catch pokemon, etc. I could only run, trade and battle. Even my friends had their games ruined and wasted about $[...]. I wish I could go back in time and buy a new game instead. If you ask me about the product, I would say either buy a video game or burn your money because the action replay is a waste of money. After reading other reviews from other places, I would suggest to not plug it in your computer either because I heard one guy got their computer busted, which means they lost about $[...]. To make it short and to the point, it is a waste of money. I would give this product a negative 1 billion if i could. Luckily, after ruining my pokemon game, I did'nt put in any other games in the action replay. My rating is a big, fat ZERO!!!!!
it was out of date so i got eh firmware update from the site. this killd the card. I have not heard back from the site about replaceing it either
I bought this product after reading all the reviews and was a little nervous. My nephew came over and had it and my daughter had to have it also. We purchased it and as I was reading the instructions I was totally confused. I basically just installed it and figured it out on my own. Wasn't too difficult - maybe because I wasn't following the directions.
My daughter now plays with games she had given up on and hadn't played with in months because she couldn't get past the harder levels...it makes the games much more fun and less frustrating. I would recommend this item just don't let the instructions discourage you. And I have a Windows XP and didn't have any problems installing it.
Overall, I have to say that I'm at least disappointed by this product. Sure, it comes in handy if you want to keep yourself from dying(or at least just give yourself a little more gold), but the thing that sucks about it is that the device will cease to function within a month.
I've bought one of these three different times from three different vendors(once directly from Datel's website), and every time, it stopped working within a month or so of use. The DS would no longer detect the cartridge at all.
And good luck trying to get customer support from Datel. The codejunkies help forums have been "temporarily down" for several years, and the customer support's e-mail bounces. The only time I've ever gotten any sort of response from Datel was when I attempted to make a scathing review on one of their products, elucidating on the issues I've had with it.
This has to be one of the worst non-licensed accessory products ever released to consumers. The documentation, such as it is, is poorly written, blatantly misleading, and of almost no help whatsoever. The "FAQs" on the codejunkies' website are not very helpful either. Although I was able to get the device to work once, all attempts after that have either led to errors or simply no response at all despite following the instructions. I might as well be pouring a bottle of snake oil on the DS for all of the good it does. I'm of the opinion that this device is a lemon. It's also worth mentioning that I posted a negative review on the codejunkies website. It doesn't appear. It seems they only display reviews with five stars. I know they're in the business of selling cheats, but I think they've taken it a step too far. If you like being cheated out of your money and time, by all means, buy this product. If however you prefer to retain your money and sanity, don't bother. It's a waste. The folks at codejunkies should all hang their heads in shame, and remove all references to "hackers" from their documentation. They don't know the first thing about writing good code, or documenting it. This is the last product I'd ever buy from *datel*!
Action Replay for Nintendo DS is pre-loaded with totally unauthorized cheats for all of the latest and greatest Nintendo DS games. Plus as new games are released, the Action Replay can be updated with even more codes via a USB connection.

(for the grandson)

(Annoying Game , yet so addicting)

(Confusing for a 6-year old)

(Autobots Kick Bot in this awesome Game!)

(it 's realy hard game)

I already gave a review from where I received it. I would buy from them again. I'm letting you know my grandson loves it and he just turned 8. Average kid.
I got this game when i first bought my DS, and it was ok for a while, but i started to hate the game when i got stuck on a level. I despised the game and thought I would never ever play it ever again.
Yet something about it just kept drawing me back to it, like my life would never feel complete until I had reversed the situation and I had gotten the better of this game.
i eventually passed the level I was stuck on and found myself stuck on a new level soon after. But ya keep getting this compelling urge to keep on playing for some reason.
For a game that is supposed to be for kids, it can be be pretty tricky to complete some of the levels for this game. It's set up with a feeling that at first I thought seemed like Grand Theft Auto.
You start off by landing on earth and you go into training, you learn how to walk, jump, shoot, transform etc... and learn that you get these XP points to increase your stats so you can shoot better, climb walls, shoot while driving etc... and if you eventualy do get to level 20 on the xp thing, you get a slow health re-generator.
Over the game, you are located to 4 stages/levels/places/lands/worlds/cities whatever you like to call them. You start off in Casino Strip, which is a small night time city like Las Vegas where you do your missions, or side missions... side missions are where you gain your XP points in small challenges, they might be destroying trees (zzzzz) catching air time (jumping things as a car) to collecting stuff blah blah blah. There kind of mini games for this that when you complete them it gives you XP points.
The second level is a GTA VC kind of feel, freeways, buildings, grass, construction yards and
